How to attach file from G:\ Drive (One Drive) and Z:\ Drive (Staff Cloud Drive)

If you attach and send documents to internal and external recipients via email, there are few things you might need to consider. There are limitations but some good security features imposed by Microsoft.

1.)Attach a file from G:\ Drive to your email as below. You can use any internal or external recipient.

You can see that it’s attached and it says Recipient can edit. If you send this email, then the recipient can edit the original file in your One Drive.


1.)If you click the small down arrow next to the document and “attach as a copy”, this means they will get a separate copy which will not affect your original.
